WHAT HAPPENED TO TRISTAN AS AN AIRLINE CAPTAIN?
Tristan has over 20 years airline flying experience. Soon after becoming a British Airways captain, he became a health and safety representative for the pilot union BALPA in 1998. One of his first tasks was to investigate the issue of oil fumes onboard aircraft. His investigations have led him to become a world expert on the issue, briefing airlines, unions, regulators, scientists, aerospace companies, doctors and many others. As the current Spokesperson and former co-chairman of the GCAQE (Global Cabin Air Quality Executive), he brings over 20 years of expertise and experience that have earned him a British Citizen Award (BCAi) for services to industry in January 2015 for his work on the problem.
Today, Tristan provides up-to-date information and expert opinion on the issue.
